Fersmana, 14а, Russia Current state of zooplankton community in Lake Ryashkovskoye located in the island Ryashkov (northern archipelago of the Kandalaksha State Natural Reserve) is assessed. The most informative indices of zooplank­ ton community, used in the monitoring system have been analyzed. Based on our own research and literature data there has been carried out a comparative analysis of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of this lake with those of lakes in Veliki island (lakes Bolshoye Kumyazhje, Maloye Kumyazhie, Mortsy, Trostniko- voye, Bolshoye Eremeyevskoye, Maloye Eremeyevskoye).
