К ПЕТРОГРАФИИ ШУЕРЕЦКОГО РЛІІОНА <1 istheno and garnet-almand ite and form garnet-almand ite deposits. The schistous amphibolites occur as lenses enclosed in the gneiss and schist series. In the cases where the former are confined to I he synclinal cores they also are the strongest enriched in garnet and often cause the formation of ged ritite and m icaite zones. Gabhro-norites have been revealed in a number of localities in the form of smal l stock-like bodies in whose peripheral parts zones of metagabbro are often appearing. The plagioclase and microcline-plagioclase granites present varieties of a single in tru s ion and are most often confined to anticlines. Besides these granites of compact structu re portions of gneissose rock also occur. Of the derivatives of the g ran itic magma widely di st ri but ed are plagioclase ар Iite-pegmatites in jec ting the series of meta- inorphic rocks аіопц 1 the sch istosity planes. This phenomenon is especially p rom in en tly shown in the sch ists (Sederholm 's arterites). Besides these fine stringers of aplite-pegmatites larger pegmatite viens occur in the region, being composed essentially of quartz, rnicrocline, plagioclase and muscovite. The most anc ien t formations in the region are the rocks of the Archean metamorphic series. The p rim a ry sed imen tary rocks of this series have been deeply metamorphosed and intensely dislocated, wi t h th e formation of folds of NE strike. Wi t h t hat folding period is connected the vigorous in jection of th in lit - par-lit stringers of aplite-pegmatites w ith formation of arterites. As a re su lt of t h a t injection in the series of schists and schistose amph ibo lite s confined to the cores of synclines took place the formation of disthene, garnet, gedrite and b io tite, and garnet- d istheno deposits arose (Terbestrov, etc.). W ith the (dose of t hat folding the appearance of gabbro-norite intrusions is connected. D u rin g th e Proterozoic the entire complex ofrocks of the reg ion was subjected to a second dislocation which was accompanied by tlie in tru sion of the above mentioned granites. Connected with these g ranites is the appearance of the largest pegmatite and quartz veins including, rnicrocline, muscovite and quar t z presenting industrial products.
