The Tersky District opens unforgettable land­ scapes of the White Sea coast. Only here one can visit the northernmost desert Kuzomen Sands and encounter wild Yakut horses. The Korabl Cape is a unique field of am e ­ thysts. Geology lovers should visit the area of the Kuzreka Village, the pits where granite used to be produced. Glendomtes of the Olenitsa Village, so called White Sea rogul’ki, is another geologi­ cal monument. Intact nature areas are still preserved here. Travelling here, one can cross the Polar Circle, taste local berries — cloudberries, visit waterfalls at the Chapoma, Chavanga, Pulonga Rivers. Любителям геологии стоит по­ бывать и в районе села Кузрека, в карьерах, где добывали граниты. Еще один памятник геологии — глендониты села Оленица, так на­ зываемые беломорские рогульки. Подобные им минералы есть только в Австралии. Терский район расположен вдали от про­ мышленных узлов. Здесь сохранились нетро­ нутые уголки природы. Путешествуя, можно пересечь полярный круг, отведать местной ягоды — морошки, посетить водопады на ре­ ках Чапома, Чаваньга, Пулоньга. Комплекс наскальных изображений на островах озера Канозеро (IV-II тыс. до н. э.) получил всемирную известность. На острове Каменный в 201Д году возведен единствен­ ный в России 10-метровый прозрачный за­ щитный купол над группой петроглифов.
