Petrov FEATURES OF INFLUENCE OF OXYGEN’ PARTIAL DENSITY GRADIENT IN THE AIR ON THE HEALTH STATUS OF POPULATIONS LIVING IN THE ARCTIC ZONE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION The number of red blood cells and amoun t of hemoglobin for men and women living in the Apatity town is proved to be higher than the s am e indices for their pe e rs in Central Russia, Serpukhov. The level of erythrocytes for inhabitants of Apatity is at the upper limit of normal range for both women and men. We su p p o s e that this is due to climatic differences. In the given work, we compare the d is e a s e incidence for the population of the municipalities different in climatic factors only, namely Serpukhov (Moscow region, 56 d e g r e e s North latitude) and Apatity (Murmansk region, 68 d e g r e e s North latitude). The leading place in the structure of morbidity of the children's population of the Apatity town belongs to d is e a s e s of respiratory organs, d i s e a s e s of the eye and a c c e sso ry apparatus; they also have an increased level of d is e a s e s of the musculoskeletal sy stem and connective tissue. Among the adult population of the city of Apatity in the last 10 years, the growth of such d is e a s e s a s d is e a s e s of the circulatory, musculoskeletal, genitourinary s y s tem s a s well a s d is e a s e s of the eye and ad n e x a h a s been detected.
