Yancheva NEW FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS BASED ON SYNTHETIC ANALOGUES OF IVANYUKITE AND KUKISVUMITE Sodium analogues of ivanyukite-Na and lintisite were synthesized by hydrothermal methods, and ion-exchanged forms of both these compounds were obtained. These materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, thermal analyses, scanning electron microscopy and microprobe analysis. It has been found that obtained synthetic titanosilicates can be used as functional materials in different fields of industry, in particular, for the selective removal of radionuclides from aqueous nuclear wastestreams and their consequent safe storage in Synroc-type ceramics.
