Nekipelov MAIN FEATURES OF AULOCOGENES , SYNCLINE TROUGHS AND DEPRESSIONS IN CONNECTION W ITH THE PROBLEM OF TYPOLOGY OF CRUST STRUCTURES The study is based on the model o f m antle-crust interaction and on m orphostructural analysis. The formation features o f synform crust structures (aulocogenes, linear syncline troughs and depressions) are characterized. It is shown tha t the ruling factors o f the process are the activated long-living deep lineament zones (DLZ). Karavayeva STUDY OF LONG -LIVED RAD IONUCLIDES ACCUMULATION IN THE CORES OF REACTOR FAC ILIT IES OF NUCLEAR ICEBREAKERS The article contains a b rie f description o f the problem related to nuclear and radiation-hazardous facilities dism antling at the fo rm e r coastal bases o f Northern Fleet and the floating technical bases (FTB) of the nuclear icebreakers flee t located in the Kola Peninsula. The paper presents the methodology and main results o f study o f long-lived radionuclides accumulation in the reactor cores o f “Lenin”, “A rctica ” and “S ib ir” nuclear icebreakers, o f which the spent nuclear fuel (SNF) was reloaded into the FTB “Lepse” during the period from 1963 to 1981. Based on the study results, the assessment has been carried out o f а- и p- activity o f SNF in the “Lepse” storage fa cility at present period o f time. P echen yuk INVESTIGATION OF SORPTION PROPERTIES OF METALS AMORPHOUS OXYHYDROXIDES W ITH REGARD TO AN IONS The main results o f system atical fundamental research o f anions tha t are environm ent pollutants (arsenate, phosphate, oxalate) w ith amorphous oxyhydroxides o f iron, zirconium , alum inium and chrom ium are briefly expounded. The sorption mechanisms are presented in the light o f the modern view on the interaction o f ions w ith an e lectrica lly charged surface and the form ation o f sorption complexes. Yurik THE EFFECT OF FAULTING ON THE STRUCTURE OF THE NATURAL MAGNETIC FIELD IN THE KO LA BAY The results o f simultaneous studies o f electrom agnetic noise on the bottom o f the Kola Bay and on the island near point o f the equipment dipping, as well as at the observatory, located at a considerable distance from the place o f measurements in the bay are presented. It is presented the description o f the equipment used in the experim ent which includes: an upgraded receiving equipment o f the marine receiving and transm itting complex, the electrom agnetic fields mobile and stationary meters. It is shown the e ffect of faulting on the structure o f the natural magnetic field, which leads to the ve rtical component enhancement in the bay. K o rn ilo v THEM IS OBSERVATIONS OF THREE S IM ILAR D IPOLAR IZAT ION EVENTS During one-hour tim e interval (11.02.2008, 00:00-01:15 UT) THEM IS spacecraft (X=-6 Re, Y=4 Re) detected three almost identical dipolarization events coupled w ith ve ry sim ilar auroral activity of pseudobreakup type and rather d ifferen t dispersionless particle injections. In the firs t event, both electron and proton spectra are strongly oscillating (period about 2.5 m inutes) and anticorrelating. Electron spectrum also demonstrates anticorrelation o f electron fluxes w ith energies 10­ 500 eV and 2-20 keV correspondingly, so in this case all electrons are accelerated from the local cold plasma background by some active processes at the fron t o f dipolarization wave, and in this case dipolarization is a primary event. In the second event, electron fluxes were sharply increased w ithout noticeable changes in electrons energy. Fine details o f dipolarization (Bz components variations) fo r several seconds delayed o f electron flux variations, so we can suppose tha t dipolarization is a secondary process. In the third event, there was no substantial changes in the to ta l electron flux, but the average electron energy increased from 2 keV up to 12 keV. 104
