5.1. Bardan, B.M. Dolgonosov FORMATION OF A LAMELLAR STRUCTURE IN THE RIVER-SEA MIXING ZONE: THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IN-SITU DATA The transfer of dissolved salts in the river-sea mixing zone is considered. It was detected that a lamellar structure appears at the site of initial contact of the waters of different genesis. Layers of this structure then expand to both sides from the initial contact surface represented by the layer of intermediate mixture with salinity 24.7%o. It is shown that interfaces between layers with differently diluted marine waters undergo permanent stretching that induces liquid micro-flows to each interface from both sides. This leads to restraining diffusion and tends to prolong conservation of the lamellar structure in the mixing zone. A convective-diffusion problem in the contact region of solutions is formulated and analyzed that allows us to explain a sequence of environments forming a cascade of physicochemical barriers in the river-sea mixing zone. Results of the in-situ measurements in the Kola Bay support the theoretical conclusions. Keywords: river-sea mixing zone, lamellar structure, convective-diffusion transfer, solution interface stretching, effect of restraining diffusion, fractal scale-invariant relief A.A. Martynova, S.V. Belisheva ADAPTATION OF NORTHERN CHILDREN TO THE MIDDLE LATITUDES (EXEMPLIFIED WITH THE HEALTH CENTRE "ECOVIT" OF THE KSC RAS, VORONEZH REGION) UNDER VARIOUS LEVELS OF GEOMAGNETIC ACTIVITY The results of the study of adaptation features of Northern children to the influence of the middle latitudes (during their stay in the health center "Ecovit" of the KSC RAS in Voronezh region) under various levels of geomagnetic activity are presented. It is shown that the process of adaptation has been satisfactory for 47% of children. For 53% of children, the adaptation to this environment resulted in more than normal stress of the regulation systems with involving some additional functional reserves of the cardiovascular system. Psycho-physiological and psycho-emotional state of Northern children was proved to be highly dependent on variations of geophysical agents, their health is vulnerable under change of the latitude, climatic and geographical zones. Keywords: adaptation of Northern children, high and middle latitudes, psycho-physiological state, variations of geophysical agents. 5.1. Pechenyuk THE SORPTION STUDY OF PLATINUM METAL ANIONIC COMPLEXES The main results of systematical fundamental investigation about platinum metal complex anions sorption with rare earth element and iron (III) oxyhydroxides are presented. The concept of heterogeneous hydrolysis is formulated as a specific mechanism of sorption processes. Keywords: sorption, sorption complex, homogeneous and heterogeneous hydrolysis, sorption kinetics, rate constant, extraction, sorption mechanism. V.C. Roldugin ONE POSSIBILITY TO STUDY A MAGNETOSPHERIC RESPONSE TO ACTIVE INFLUENCE In 1975 two separate TV cameras visualized a luminous patch of about 12 km size and duration less than 1s at 100 km altitude over Archangelsk region. This luminosity was caused by antenna breakdown of the powerful HF transmitter. The phenomenon has a close similarity to the particle precipitation from the magnetosphere initiated by lightning. Keywords: lightning, magnetosphere, particle precipitation. V.F. Skorokhodov, R.M. Nikitin, E.D. Rukhienko, E.G. Veselova ASSESSMENT OF FLOTATION PROPERTIES OF FEED SAMPLE COMPONENTS FROM MAIN NEPHELINE FLOTATION BY COMPUTING EXPERIMENT The method has been developed to assess flotation properties of feeding components from a rough (reverse) nepheline flotation. This method allows formulating the integral properties of pseudo phases for multispeed multiphase flotation continuum within a computing experiment. The experiment was carried out with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) model of a heterogenic flotation system adapted to the operational aspects of the flotation techniques. Keywords: CFD model, heterogenic system, flotation, nepheline concentrate. 132
