Vinogradova INDIGENIOUS PEOPLES OF THE NORTH IN INVESTIGATIONS OF THE BSH KSC RAS The article is focused on the questions of establishment at the International Centre for Development of Science, Culture and Education KSC RAS the studies regarding indigenous peoples of the North. Further development of this scientific direction in the Barents Centre of the Humanities (BCH KSC RAS) is observed as well. The period under review is from second half of the 1990th till present time. The main factors, which specified the Saami studies as a priority at the beginning of the Centre’ development, are appointed. Three most important areas for realization at the BCH KSC RAS investigations concerning indigenous peoples are indicated: 1) preservation of historical-cultural and natural heritage for indigenous inhabitance of the Murmansk region; 2) problems of socio-economic development for indigenous peoples of the North; 2) basis of the regional policy regarding indigenous peoples of the North. Larichkin EVOLUTION AND BACKGROUND OF THE MODERN PARADIGM (MODEL) OF RATIONAL SUBSO IL USE Evolution of the paradigm of rational subsoil use in works of domestic and foreign scholars is studied. Its gradual transformation to the model of low-waste production with recycling of all types of production and consumption wastes and maximal limitation of primary natural resource extraction is revealed, in prospect as resource-saving, environmentally balanced technologies of comprehensive utilization and processing of resources including nanotechnologies are developed. Makarova ARCH IVAL DOCUMENTS OF THE KOLA SCIENCE CENTRE RAS AND THEIR POSITION IN SOCIAL HISTORY: 55 YEARS OF THE ARCH IVAL FUND OF THE KSC RAS The main stages of the Archival Fund of the Kola Science Centre RAS forming in 1930-1990 years were viewed in context of its cooperation with Archive of RAS. The history, structure of funds and the main activities of the Scientific Archive of the Kola Science Centre RAS from 1957 to the present is covered. Shabalina The history of the organization and creation a Museum-Archive of the European North Investigation and Exploration History of the BCH o f the KSC RAS (1970-2012) This paper presents basic steps for creating a Museum-Archive of the BCH KSC RAS and contains factual material revealing the processes of initiated and expeditionary manning of museum collections and exhibitions in the beginning of its activities, and brief overview of the permanent modern exposition. Petrov The FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF HUMANITIES IN KOLA RESEARCH CENTER RAS The history of social sciences and humanities in Kola Research Center RAS is observed in the article. Some factors of the formation these research spheres in regional science and their significance for the national science as a whole are revealed. Current investigations conducting in Center of Humanitarian problems KRC RAS simultaneously agree with international level of social science and regional needs. Social-anthropological studies of human and society life in the Russian Far North and the history of science in Kola North are the main directions of these researches.
