Представлены районы Российской Арктики, в которых в результате антропогенного воздействия произошли негативные изменения природной среды, приведшие к появлению и развитию острых экологических ситуаций. Анализ экологических угроз здоровью населения арктических регионов ведется с позиций рассмотрения здоровья как одного из базовых индикаторов человеческого потенциала и качества населения. Выделены территории Мурманской области, одного из самых промышленно развитых и обжитых регионов Российской Арктики, характеризующиеся высоким риском повреждения здоровья населения из-за загрязнения окружающей среды промышленными выбросами. Представлены результаты эмпирических социологических исследований оценки жителями промышленных центров региона экологических угроз здоровью. Klyukina ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS FOR THE HEALTH OF THE POPULATION IN THE ARCTIC REGION Abstract The article is devoted to the issues related to the impact of the environment state on the health of the population in the northern and arctic territories of Russia. The author focuses on the regions of the Russian Arctic with negative changes in the natural environment. These changes in the environment are the result of anthropogenic impact that has led to the emergence and development of acute environmental situations. Within the analysis of environmental threats for the health of the population of the Arctic regions the author uses an approach according to which health is considered as one of the basic indicators of human potential and quality of the population. Murmansk region is one of the most industrially developed and inhabited region in the Arctic part of the Russian Federation. The author focuses on the territories of the Murmansk region that characterized by a high risk of damage to health of the population due to pollution of the environment by industrial emissions. The article presents some results of empirical sociological researches devoted to the assessments of the inhabitants of industrial centers of the Murmansk region the environmental threats for the health of the population.
