THE NORTH AND THE MARKET: Forming the Economic Order The North and the Market: Forming the Economic Order is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to regional economics. It was the first Russian scientific journal to emphasize the economic and social aspects of research on the North and the Arctic. The journal publishes articles devoted to analyzing and forecasting changes in the economic and social aspects of regions and municipalities in both Russian and international Northern and Arctic territories. The journal aims to serve the wider research community and practitioners by providing a forum to publish studies on socio-economic processes in the North and the Arctic. It fosters engagement with diverse perspectives on pressing issues related to economic and social development and encourages scholarly discussions on these topics. The journal was founded in 1998 by G. P.
