THE NORTH AND THE MARKET: Forming the Economic Order The peer-reviewed scientific and informational journal is a professional academic periodical in the field of regional economics, and the first Russian scientific journal that over twenty years placed its focus on the economic and social aspects of Northern and Arctic studies. The journal publishes articles devoted to the analysis and forecast of changes in the economic and social sphere of regions and municipalities of the Russian and foreign North and the Arctic. The main purpose of publishing the journal is to provide the wide research community and practitioners with the opportunity to publish results of research of socio-economic processes in the North and the Arctic, get acquainted with various viewpoints on topical issues of economic and social development, and take part in discussions of the topics at hand.
