Кулагин доцент кафедры отечественной истории Петрозаводский государственный университет, Петрозаводск, Россия Аннотация: Период 1990-х гг. стал временем перехода российской экономики к рыночным отношениям. Лесопромышленный комплекс также был затронут процессами перехода к новым условиям развития. В новых реалиях лесопромышленные предприятия оказались в условиях новой институциональной среды, которая сильно отличалась от условий развития советского периода. Произошедшая трансформация превратила предприятие ЛПК из проводника государственной региональной социально-экономической политики, в своей деятельности вынужденного учитывать региональные и локальные интересы, в экономический субъект, самостоятельно формирующий стратегию своего взаимодействия со всеми участниками хозяйственного процесса. Таковыми стали федеральные и региональные органы власти, лесопромышленные объединения, поставщики, заказчики, потребители, банки, зарубежные фирмы, органы лесного хозяйства, а также природоохранные организации. Отсутствие зрелой законодательной базы, приоритетное внимание государства к нефтегазовому сектору, наличие у всех участников экономических отношений разновекторных интересов способствовали формированию малоэффективной институциональной среды для лесопромышленных предприятий в период 1990- гг. Ключевые слова: лесопромышленное предприятие, северный регион, Республика Карелия, субъект экономики. TIMBER INDUSTRY ENTERPRISE AS AN ENTITY OF THE NORTHERN REGION 'S ECONOMY IN THE 1990S. (THE CASE STUDY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KARELIA) O.I.Kulagin Associate Professor Department of Russian History of Petrozavodsk State University, Petrozavodsk, Russia Abstract. The period of the 1990s was a time of transition of the Russian economy to the market relations. The processes of transition to the new conditions of development have also affected the timber industry. The new realities of the timber companies were in the new institutional environment, which is very different from the conditions of the Soviet period. This transformation converted timber industry enterprises from conductors of the state regional social and economic policy, which in the activities were forced to take into account regional and local interests, into the economic entities, independently shaping strategies of their interactions with all participants of the economic process. These were the federal and regional authorities, forest industry associations, suppliers, customers, consumers, banks, foreign firms, forestry authorities and environmental organizations.
