Ïîýòîìó âåðîÿòíåå âñåãî áàçà áóäåò ñîçäàíà íà òåððèòîðèè Ìóðìàíñêîé îáëàñòè ñ ïðèöåëîì íà áóäóùåå. Áóäóò çàäåéñòâîâàíû è ìîùíîñòè óæå ñîç- äàííûõ ÎÎÎ «Ãàçôëîò» äâóõ áàç ñíàáæåíèÿ íà òåððèòî- ðèè ñóäîâåðôè è Àáðàì-ìûñå. onshore infrastructure. The company's expertise is unquestionable. The company is prepared to participate in development of the Murmansk Transport Hub. The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping is ready to provide technical survey of marine stationary and floating drilling rigs. SUPPLY BASE FOR THE SHTOKMAN PROJECT, WHERE TO LOCATE? One of the most acute problems to be solved is creation of a supply base for the Shtokman project to provide not only for the first phase, but also for the second and the third ones, and, possibly, for the fourth one as well. Drilling equipment, chemical reagents, cement, equipment for making drilling solutions, loading-unloading facilities for cargoes weighing up to 200 tons are to be stored there. Warehouses and repair workshops will also be parts of the base. The total area is expected to be 400 000 m 2 . The base is to meet certain requirements, such as ability to receive and deliver cargoes by sea, railway and motorway; capability to deliver cargoes to the Shtokman gas and condensate field within 30 hours, non-bureaucratic procedures of getting the permits to call and leave the harbour, availability of customs clearance services and migration procedures for foreign specialists. Today possible locations for the supply base are considered. Yury Komarov pointed out that Shtokman Development AG is interested in having the base in the Murmansk region. However, the site for the base location has not been chosen yet. There are negotiations on this issue held with the Murmansk Shipping Company, with the Fishery Port, Shipyard No 35. The option of using a site in Severomorsk is also being considered, however its status of a restricted territorial and administrative entity presents an obstacle. Surely Norwegian partners are interested in this base as well, they are ready to offer services of the already existing bases in Hammerfest and Kirkenes. Yury Komarov confirmed that Norway has a good starting position in the competition, but Norwegian supply bases are regarded as a backup option. ‘The Murmansk region’, he said, ‘has a priority for Shtokman Development AG’ . This is logically grounded, as the second, third and fourth phases of the project will be realized by Russia alone. So, the base is more likely to be built in the Murmansk region. Two supply bases of Gazflot located on the territory of the Shipyard and in Abram-mys are probable to be used.
