EXPLORATIONS C O N T IN E N T A L M A R G I N O F T H E EAST S IB E R IA N S E A : GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE AND HYDROCARBON POTENTIAL KAZANIN G.S., BARABANOVA YU.B., KIRILLOVA-POKROVSKAYA T.A., CHERNIKOV S.F., PAVLOV S.P., IVANOV G.I. (JSC MARINE ARCTIC GEOLOGICAL EXPEDITION) In 2016 JSC MAGE performed regional integrated geophysical investigations of the East Siberian continental margin aimed at the study of regional geological aspects and hydrocarbon potential assessment of sedimentary basins of the East Arctic continental margin (the East Siberian rift system, the De Long high, and Vilkitsky Strait). The exploration of the East Siberian Sea by seismic techniques was performed for several decades (Fig.1). Nevertheless the exploration area is located in a very little studied part of the East Arctic water area of Russia featured by the bound ice conditions. The current insight into its’ geological struc­ ture is based on the data of several CMP reflection lines (DMNG, 2009-2011; MAGE, 1990, 2014 [3, 4, 6]). In 2016 against the government contract JSC MAGE performed integrated geophysi­ cal survey on the East Siberian continental margin. The survey included CMP reflection seismic survey, shipboard gravity measure­ ments, differential magnetometer observa­ tions and echo sounding of the bottom to the extent of 4,000 km.
