TOWARDS NEW ACHIEVEMENTS AND DISCOVERIES! Dear colleagues, guests and participants of the SEG International Exhibition and Annual Meeting! This issue of the MURMANSK MILE regional business magazine is specially coincided to these events in Dallas and is devoted to the activity of one of the leading Russian companies in the field of marine geology - JSC Marine Arctic Geological Expedition (MAGE). Next year 2017, MAGE will celebrate a remarkable date - the 45th anniversary of its activity. During these years the Expedition succeeded in performing a huge volume of works in the western part of the Russian Arctic. At this, it should be understood that at the time our marine geologists were the earliest explorers in a literal sense - before them nobody had ever come there with scientific researches. Today, it may safely be said that MAGE studies have made a decisive contribution to a new higher large- scale estimation of potential resources of the Arctic Shelf of Russia. The SEG International Conference and Exposition is one of the most anticipated events of the year fo r us. Each year, it unites thousands of geoscientists from more than 70 countries across the world. This is a true unique area fo r contacts at the highest level, joint discussions of problems and prospects, demonstration of advanced geophysical, geological and engineering technologies. With all my heart, I wish all guests and participants of the 8 6 th SEG International Exhibition to have a lot of interesting meetings, productive gatherings with colleagues, entering into profitable contracts and further success on the way towards new achievements and discoveries!
