Penetration depth is abou t 1 km, at reso lu tion capa b ility o f 2 -5 m, depending on the sed im en ta ry cover geo logica l s truc tu re tha t allows increasing cons ide rab ly a se ism ic section de ta il and, in p a rticu la r, to recogn ize gas a ccum u la tion s ( F ig .1 ). Solid e n v iro nm e n ta lly -frie n d ly c o n s tru c tio n fo r the in-sea pa rt of the rece ive r is o f much im po rtance . Our Company exploited that technology first in the Barents Sea. Experimental and methodological works have been carried out that showed a high information content and efficiency of the technology while detecting and mapping gas lenses in the upper layer of deposits (Fig. 2). At p resen t time, the Company has a stream e r of the Russian p rodu ction of “ SI Techno logy In s trum en t” (Russia) w ith sim ilar parameters. The Russian 192-channel d ig ita l stream e r of XZoneBottomF ish model w ith active length of 1 , 2 0 0 m and d istance between channels of 6.25 m (F ig . 3) is used as the receiver. S tabilization of se ism ic stream e r at a given depth is carried out by means of D igiB ird 5011Е compass birds.
