Важны разработка и утв е рж ­ дение «дорожных карт» разра­ бо тки и внедрения техноло гий, имеющих кри т и ч е с ки важное значение для освоения А р к т и ­ ки, в том числе обеспечение создания новых ф ункциональ­ ных и ко н с т р у кц и о н ны х мате­ риалов, необходимых для о с у ­ ществления хо зяйственной деятельности в ар кти че с ки х у с ­ ловиях, разработка наземных тран спор тных средств и авиа­ ц ио нн о й те хн и ки для работы в п р и р о д н о -кл им а ти ч е с ки х у с л о ­ виях А р к т и к и , разработка те х ­ ноло гий сбережения здоровья и увеличения п родолж и тель но ­ сти жи з ни населения А р к т и ч е ­ ской зоны. Необходимо продолжать ра­ боту по проведению комплекс­ ных экспедиционных исследо­ ваний в Северном Ледовитом океане и в прибрежной зоне, вы­ полнение гидрометеорологи­ ческих, гидрографических и ге­ офизических исследований для обеспечения безопасности м о ­ реплавания, а также дол госроч­ ных гидрометеорологических и гидрографических исследований, включая глубоководные, в целях изучения подводной среды.
