The Polar Geophysical Institute medium waves radar for studying o f the lower ionosphere // Instruments and methods of geophysical experiment. - Apatity: KSC, 2003. - P.37-46. Characteristics and a block scheme of a medium waves radioreflections measurement complex near Murmansk constructed in the Polar Geophysical Institute are given. The complex is designed for measurements of lower ionosphere parameters (electron density, collision frequency, wind velocity etc) by the partial reflections method. Fig. - 6, ref. - 6 titles. The electronic interface is created, which task includes transformation of the information coming from detectors of cosmic rays (the neutron monitor) and barometric pressure, to the form convenient for computer processing and analysis. The description of a principle of work, and also functional and basic circuits of modules of the neutron monitor and the barograph is given. The purpose of the neutron monitor module is selection from a general flow of pulses, events corresponding to primary neutrons, hitting the device and secondaiy ones, formed by multiplication in lead, surrounding counters. The barograph module is designed for formation of pulses, which frequency is proportional to the barometrical pressure, and reduction them to the TTL standard. For elimination of noise signals in cables stretched from the neutron monitor and the barograph (20 m), the Shmidt triggers and microcircuits using optoelectronic couples are installed on inputs of the interface.
