For the purpoee of the present study a similar graph was constructed from the same data set by solely baaed on observations with Kp«0. The smoothed equatorward, poleward, and transition boundaries are shown in l H g . 4 in a corre cted geomagnetic latitude/time graph. Further, all boundary orossings observed by the two ШЗР-satellites during northern and southern polar orbits during the quiet Interval 00-05 UT on 1984, Nov.29 had been plotted in the graph. Obviou sly, there is good agreement between the single observations and the statis tical pattern, although the spreadiness is noticeable at the polar cap boundary. This good agreement tends to confirm the statistical result. At the same time, the correspondence between the position of the boundaries observed during each satellite orbit and the statistic pattern strongly indicates that this pattern has been practically unchanged during the whole quiet interval 00-05 UT.
