The issue presents attempt to solve the promlem of radiation of HP radioimpulces with the power sufficient for a discharge at lower ionosphere altitudes. It also consider the results of numerical modelling of both the problem of the discharge phenomenon itse lf and some artific ia l geophysical effects accompaining the discharge (an artific ia l layar of ionisation, optical flashes, modulation of ionospheric current system, etc ). Several methods and techniques of diagnostics of these effects are also presented. A possibility of affecting the upper ionospheric plaema by a high frequency whistler mode wave radiated by a powerful ground-based MW-transmitter is discussed. Calculation and estimation of some possible nonlinear effects as well as the effects of artificial precipitation of magnetospheric electrons into the atmo sphere are presented. The issue may be interesting for researchers of space science and college students in respective' scientific fie ld s .
