I n order to indicate the effect of the magnetohydrodynamical lunar wake due to the process of flow-around of the M o o n from the solar wi n d a n analysis of about 150 periods of n e w Moons (-4, +4 days) in 1970-1985 was performed and the parameters of the interplanetary m e d i u m (according to the King Catalogue) a n d of the magnetospheric activity were compared. It is establish-' edi a) I n 89 per cent of the periods days of enhanced K p-index and even abating i n time values of the v elocity of the solar wi n d have b e e n obeervedj b) In 77 per cent of the cases a change of the IMP polarity (or perturbation in the polarity) has b e e n observed on days from -1 to +1 by the n e w Moon; 0 ) The R correlation coefficient be t w e e n V and Kp depends on the phase of the M o o n a n d ha s different values for the quiet solar wi n d for the high velooity fluxes (V*500 km/s); d) R depends on the angle between the IMP and the line 3un-Moon-Earth ae R /0°/»0.79, R/180°/=0,67; e) The spectral analysis of the Kp series carried out has established solar periods of 27 days and more quiet d a y linar period of 29,5 days) f) A theoretical model of the small i r re g ularities due to the lunar wake in the magnetosheath re g i o n and on the magnetopause during the n e w M o o n has be e n done.
