и.], 1989. – 126 с.

the M o o n are shown in P i g . 12, This consider a tion ia n a t urally simplified as the irregularities in the lunar wake are not stationary. Moreover, the condition Vn m = 0 of the m a g n e topause can no longer he considered as fulfilled in case of inhomogeneities. The latter can he i nvolved and a b sorbed i n the magnetosphere in a manner already discussed in /19/. Hence the condition =° should be substituted b y the conditions v ^ )( yL О an d v n t( = 0 , where the arrows indicate the most favourable orientations of the magnetic momenta of absorption an d re f l e c tions of these irregularities /17/ w h i c h occur in the lunar wake an d enhanced i n the magn e t o s h e a t h r e g i o n (3-6). The conductivities in the polar ionosphere exert a n influence on this effect of penetration, where the field lines are projected fr o m the equatorial magnetopause. It can be supposed that in a n o n s t a tionary case the disturbances of the alfvenio waves type will be enhanced as the irregularities in the velocity components le a d to more large deviations i n the baae stream (in the m a g n e t o sheath region) compared w i t h the irregular i ties and parameters of the P prea- ure and p density. Wh e r e and h o w wo u l d they be distributed w i t h i n the magnetosphere is a p r o b l e m wh i c h could not be solved adequately without specifying b o u n d a r y conditions of the magn etosphere (magnetopause). This will be an object for future detailed studies. R E F E R E N C E S 1. NEES N.F. , B B H A N N O N K . W . , SCBARCE C . S . , JANTARANO S . C . J . G e o p h y s . Res., 72, 5769 (1967). 2.
