of the field spatial heterogeneity. Regular and irregular field pulsations distinguished during certain periods were also of interest. X-ray emission pulsations of prolonged periods which are superimposed on the morning baylike precipitations were dis covered from the beginning of the stratospheric measurements. But this type of particle flux modulation was not examined carefully because of lacic of necessary ground-based and satellite data. Recently there appeared a certain interest in futher development of the relation of this type of pre cipitating pulsations with the geomagnetic Pc5 pulsations. Simulteneous measurements on the satellite ”6805—2“ and the balloons during the morning events on March 6—7» 1979 and a great number of the ground-based data will probably contrib ute to progress in this field. Some additional information concerning pulsations and microburets. of-energetic particles was obtained. This means that investigations of the mechanism of modulation and generation of rapid variations in precipitating particles will be continued. 40
