Electron scattering by molecule O^ determines the general process of energetic balance of precipitating electron beams from atmosphere? it is the source of a series of emissions in aurora spectra; it gives rise to a number of plasmoche- mical reactions. In the present article we made an attempt to collect all the information concerning the integral elec tron cross sections by Og that have been accumulated for the last years. The authors tried to cover in full all the expe rimental data available for them. The cross sections, repre sented in the article, allow to describe the process of elec tron scattering, talcing into account the possibilities of excitation of: 1. the first four vibrational states of the ground state of О- Z2£ " ( v =1 ,2,3,4) ; Л ® 1 r— 4 > 2. а Д and Ь Ц states; 3. combination states with the threshold in the field of 4,5 - 6,8eV the basic of which are identified with A^£*, c1£ u , С3Д и states; 4. combination states with the threshold in the field of 7,1 - 9,5eV being the source of Schumann-Runge continuum; 5. combination of 7 states with the threshold in the field of 9,7 - 12,1eV the first three of which were termed as the longest, second and third bands; 6. ionization continuum, described as the process of total ionization, dissiciative ionization, ionization with 0^ ana 0 ^ formation. In the present work the excitations of the first negative system bands integral cross sections of elastic scattering and total cross sections have been also investigated.
