4 IHTROBUCTION The Auroral Suboentre of World Data Centre B2 continues its publication of auroral observational data from Soviet stations in Arctic and Antarctic. Auroral data are presented by ascaplote as adopted at Moscow IAGA Assembly in September 1950 /1/. This issue оoutains the auroral data of 1983. The list of stations and their coordinates are enumerated in Sable 1, Ascaplots for 1972-1982 were published еагііфг /5/, Asoaplote are the information about aurora occurence in thre® latitudinal intervals (north, aanith, south) each corresponding to three degrees of latitude. Auroral activity in the senith region ie given in a three-ball soale. The data are presented for every half-an-hour interval of observations. Иге asoaplote also contain the information about cloudi ness and moon lighting. She methods of ascaploting are shown. Initial data from all the stations which data are used in the present issue are kept in the Auroral Suboentre. She indices of auroral activity are given for each day (Table 2). The ascaplots have been prepared by the staff of the Auroral Subcentre« Н.У.Maltseva,, bsN,Korobeynikova and 0„V»Usohenko headed by L.H.Smirnova.
