Airborne contamination and sewage of Pechenganikel enter­ prise as well as residential waste waters directed into the Lake Kuetsjarvi have strong impact on the lake. The Lake Kuetsjarvi linked via a stream with the Saimijarvi (Svanevatn) Lake wich is in the course of Pasvik River.
