WALTER SCHUCK Walter Schuck at Petsamo in November 1943. pared. He slipped away between two parked trains and caught sight of a parked Luftwaffe truck. He found the driver behind the wheel and managed to convince him to take him to his airfield. With a great feeling of relief, Schuck saw the railway station with the man hunting “Chain Dogs” disappear as the truck rolled away on a large road which led out of the city. Luck continued to be with Schuck. At Tallinn’s aero­ drome, he learned that by coincidence, a Ju 52 transport plane was just about to fly equipment to Petsamo! Walter Schuck spent some joyful hours among boxes with spare parts and ammunition in the storage room of the Ju 52. V
