SUMMARY The article offers experience of reading of the Scandinavian prose of the 80—90s of the 20th century presented by works of Per Olov Enquist, Kjell Askildsen, Unas Gardel, Ernst Brunner, Torgni Lindgren, Inger Edelfeldt who were translated into Russian in 1997, 2001,2002. Recognizing uniqueness of the creative individuality of each mentioned writer the author of the article permits herself to unite them by the topic of love —hatred to the world and human being which is not alien to all of the authors.
