Breeds on small lakes and large bogs. RF. 2. Black-throated Diver Gavia arctica (Linnaeus, 1758). Common migrating and breeding species on large water bodies. RR. 3. G reat Northern Diver Gavia immer (Brunnich, 1764). Very rare migrating specis. Recorded in 1987 and 1993 (Gunther, Thingstad, 2002). Order PODICIPEDIFORMES Grebes Podicipedidae 4. Red-necked Grebe Podicepsgrisegena (Boddaert, 1783). Uncommon migrant, recorded in 1976 and 1977 (Wikan et al. 1994). RM. 5. Horned Grebe Podiceps auritus (Linnaeus, 1758). Very rare migrant, a speci men collected in 1904 (Wikan et al. 1994). Order PELECANIFORMES Cormorants Phalacracoracidae 6. G reat Cormorant Phalacracoraxcarbo (Linnaeus, 1758). Uncommon migrat ing species. RM 7. European Shag Phalacracorax aristotelis ( Linnaeus, 1761). Very rare migrating species. Recorded in 1974 and 1983 (Wikan et al. 1994). RM, RR. 8. Double-crested Cormorant Phalacracorax auritus (Lesson, 1831). Very rare migrant, recorded in 1974 and 1983 (G unther & Thingstad 2002). 43
