additionally taken on the staff exceeds this value at the expense of those who woiked in 1988 but retired on a pension, were called up for military service, or left for other reasons. The calculations of the shares of growth given in Figs. 8 and 9 are significant for the engineering and economic analysis of the economic activity. For “Sevrybkholodflot” we can make the following conclusions. 1. Only the fifteenth part (7.05%) of the total volume of the commercial production of 1989 was due to an increase in labor productivity, which is a very low proportion and does not meet the demands of the complete cost accounting and self-support 2. It is natural that the share of the total volume of commercial production which is due to the increase in the number of workers is falling (it constitutes only the tenth part). The stabilization of the number of personnel and their subsequent absolute reduction are also natural. 3.6.5. Decomposition of the Increment of Production. The Main Conclusions The increment in the volume of production of the coordinate system looks like figures resembling an ax or a poker (see Fig. 10). Figure 10 shows three main kinds of increment, namely, for the same and different rates of increase in the output and in the number of workers. Figure 11 shows the method of calculation of the proportions of increment of the commercial production in “Sevrybkholodflot” in 1989, which were due to an increase in the labor productivity and labor force. Here, the increase in production consists of three parts: the area of Y 1 Y 2 BA is the part of the increment produced by the former contingent of workers at the expense of the increase in labor productivity, the area of Z\ADZi is the part of the increment produced by the increased contingent of workers provided that their labor productivity has not increased, the area of ABCD is the so-called joint increment whose correct decomposition is shown on the right-hand side of Fig. 11. Let us calculate the share of the incrementof production of “Sevrybkholodflot” of 1989 which was due to the increase in labor productivity: ^Ub.prod z.(r2-r,)+l(r2-r,)2 *2~*1 99.33(101.47 - 94.32) + 1(101.47 - 94.32)2 112.2-93.69 39 . 7 %. 9 3
