Anthropogenic changes o f lothic ecosystems in the Murmansk region. Volume 2: The Chuna lake-river system under conditions of air pollution. - Apatity: Print. Kola Science Centre RAS, 2007. —238 p. The monograph is a next series of publications devoted to studying of Murmansk region lothic systems under conditions of different anthropogenic influences. Features of surface waters and lake sediments quality formation are considered as well as responses of hydrobionts of the lake-river system Verhnaya Chuna - Chunozero - Nizhnaya Chuna to air contamination. The monograph contains long - term complex study results, including an estimate of a level of polluting substances atmospheric precipitation and its flows on drainage area as well as analysis of long-term, seasonal and spatial changes of hydrochemical indexes, features of formation of lake sediments chemical compound, investigation of hydrobionts responses to habitat contamination (including fishes). The population characteristics o f some species, results of the pathologomorphological analysis of whitefish and levels of metals accumulation in fish organism are described. The manuscript is intended for ecologists, geoecologists, hydrochemists, geochemists, hydrobiologists and ichthyologists. II.-99, tables-67, ref.-194. Reviewers: V.A.Masloboev, Dr. of Sci.
