The monograph is devoted to challenges of urbanization occurring on the Kola Peninsula, to socio-economic processes of development of towns in the Murmansk region and issues of management of life quality of city-dwellers in the Polar area. Economic-geographical location of the Arctic zone of Russia and the Murmansk region are elucidated in details. On the basis of mathematical-statistical methods situations in towns of the region arc analyzed, groups of urban settlements and clusters are identified.
