7 9 Stones Stones, my stones, in the tundra you ’re not a rarity. You are not simply stones - but the souls o f our ancestors. As you pass along the path, pick them up in the palms o f your hands, carry them away to the little aspen tree, - the sun w ill understand you! By June everything w ill be covered with a green carpet, in it you can hear the rustle and groan of our relatives’ souls and their moan. And the ages, so springlike, have passed by long before anyone extracted metals from stone. I believe there is one thing our ancestors know: these metals are just like precious souls! These days every schoolboy will answer you simply: precious metals can be found throughout the cosmos. Our imprints w ill remain on far-off stars - just as the souls of our ancestors would want it!
