Посещение ММБИ Президентом АН ССР академиком Г.И. Марчуком, 1988 г. МУРМАНСКИЙ МОРСКОЙ БИОЛОГИЧЕСКИЙ ИНСТИТУТКНЦРАН ли плом НАОТКРЫТИЕ В 2007 г. Институт посетил нынеш­ ний Президент РАН В.Е. Фортов и ознакомился с инновационными разра­ ботками ММБИ, направлеными на ра­ циональное использование биоресурсов Арктики. Исследования ММБИ включены в Программу научных исследований в рамках реализации "Стратегии развития Арктической зоны Российской Феде­ рации и обеспечения национальной безопасности на период до 2020 г.". MMBI's activities were highly esteemed by President of RAS Yu.S. Osipov: "I am glad that in our hard time the Institute works successfully and makes a lot for the progress of science. The staff composition is especially encouraging: to rely on the youth is the most important thing". In 2007, the current President of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.E. Fortov has visited the Institute and got acquainted with innovative projects of the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute aimed at sustainable use of biological resources in the Arctic. MMBI studies have been included in the Program of scientific research in the framework of "The Strategy of the Russian Arctic development and national security protection for the period until 2020". MMBI closely coopera­ tes with the higher education. On the initiative of MMBI, several departments were established at Murmansk State Technical University, and Murmansk State Pedagogical University. Conferences of students and young scientists have alread y become a tradition at MMBI. Students and post-graduates from the largest higher educational institutions of Russia have their practice on the scientific base of the Institute in the settlement of Dalnie Zelentsy. MMBI's scientific activities attract well-deserved attention of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Government of the Russian Federation. The Institute was visited by Presidents of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR M.V. Keldysh (1966) and G.l. Marchuk (1988) and by President of Russian Academy of Sciences Yu.S. Osipov (2001).
