We put a great stress on local history, bibliographical documents and scientific material as well as important Sami areas, for instance reindeer herding, duodji, language as a subject and in relation to various fields. Fiction Fiction includes publications written by Sami authors, who write both in Sami and in other languages or translated to or from Sami and fiction by non-Sami authors with a Sami chief motive. Monographs, periodicals and articles All the new books and monographs series are controlled every week. Amongst 250-300 periodicals are currently being watched, the acquisition checked carefully weekly as well. Articles in other periodicals are identified when we get hold of them. The monographs can be published books, textbooks, audio books, local published books, sheet prints, numbers in monograph series, publications from Universities and Scientific institutions, pamphlets and documents from The Government. We register the whole document or parts of it, the articles or chapters which contain Sami relevant material. The periodicals are analyzed. The articles which have Sami related content of a certain extent are included in the bibliography. About 70 % of the records in the bibliography are analytical entries.
