Библиотека как социальный институт сохранения и устойчивого развития культур и культурного самовыражения коренных народов Севера= Library as a social institution for conservation and sustainable development of cultures and cultural expressions of the North indigenous peoples : международная научно-практическая конференция, 20-23 ноября 2012 г. : сборник материалов / сост.: Михайлова Е. Р., Иванова С. В. – Мурманск : МГОУНБ, 2013. - 226 с.

the Crossing Library engages in operations specially financed by the state; the activities are spread throughout the Sami Area and conducted under Inari Public Library. The project has its home in the premises of the Finnish Sami Parliament. The steering group of the project consists of representatives of the municipal libraries of the Sami Area, the Sami Parliament and the Sami Special Library. The Crossing Library means a touring library, which neither has a collection nor facilities of its own: it makes blatantly use of the resources of other organisations. It is interesting to see how this new form of library work will develop and whether it will spread all around the Sami Area. I also look forward to seeing how the cooperation between the Sami Special Library and the Crossing Library will develop in future. Hopefully, next year at Barents Library Conference here in Murmansk, we will have the person running the Crossing Library project tell about her work and its basis. By that time, the project will have carried out its activities for more than a year. 109
